Our pieces are designed for everyday wear, but care recommendations vary by style:

Beaded Bracelets: Our beaded bracelets are water-resistant and tarnish-resistant. However, to preserve the integrity of the stretch cord and prolong its lifespan, we recommend avoiding excessive water exposure and contact with harsh chemicals.

Bangles & Necklaces: Our stainless steel bangles and necklaces are waterproof and tarnish-resistant, designed for durability and everyday wear. However, to preserve their beautiful finish, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals.

For all jewelry, we recommend limiting exposure to chlorine, salt water, sunscreen, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products.

Our waterproof jewelry is designed to withstand everyday water exposure, including handwashing, showering, and occasional swimming. However, waterproof does not mean chemical-proof. Chlorine, salt water, perfumes, lotions, sunscreen, body washes, and other harsh chemicals may affect the finish over time.

To preserve its beautiful shine, we recommend limiting exposure to these elements. If exposed to chlorine or salt water, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

To keep your jewelry pieces looking their best, avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, salt water, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals.

• For beaded bracelets, put them on and take them off one at a time (to avoid overstretching them).
• For bangles, put them on and take them off the same way every time (to avoid loosening the clasp). We recommend wearing the bangles with the clasp facing inward.
• For necklaces, store them separately to prevent tangling and scratching. Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove oils and residue. 

If needed, our bangles can be slightly adjusted for a tighter or looser closure. To create a looser clasp closure, lightly press the ends of the bottom half of the bangle inward. For a tighter clasp closure, gently pull the ends of the bottom half of the bangle outward.

With regular wear, the clasp may shift slightly depending on how gently or firmly the bangle is opened and closed. Using a consistent method when putting it on and taking it off will help maintain the clasp.

If ever needed, we recommend making small, gradual adjustments to maintain the beauty and structure of your bangle.

We recommend measuring your wrist circumference (in centimeters) with a soft measuring tape, then add 2cm to that measurement to determine your bracelet size. Most prefer a snug finger space between the bottom of their wrist and bracelet but if you would like more or less space between the two, size up or down from your measurement.

Tip: If you don’t have a measuring tape, use a string and measure it against a ruler.

If you are between sizes and are ordering beaded bracelets that use 6mm beads or smaller, we recommend sizing down. If you’re ordering beaded bracelets that use 8mm beads or larger, we recommend sizing up.

Our beaded bracelets are made with a high-quality stretch cord, but like all stretch jewelry, they should be handled with care and not overstretched regularly. When wearing a stack of bracelets, we recommend sliding on one bracelet at a time rather than stretching multiple pieces over your wrist at once.

Beaded Bracelets: If your bracelet doesn't fit quite right, you're welcome to send it back for a resize. Customers are responsible for shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Bangles: Our bangles are intentionally designed as a one-size-fits-most piece and cannot be resized or exchanged.

Necklaces: Our necklaces are designed with adjustable extender chains to accommodate different lengths and personal preferences. However, necklaces cannot be resized or exchanged. We recommend reviewing the measurements listed in each product description before placing your order.

Once your beaded bracelet is received, most resizing requests are completed within 7 business days.

Many of our necklaces feature adjustable extender chains, allowing you to customize the length for a comfortable fit and preferred style. Most extenders add up to two additional inches of length, giving you the flexibility to wear your necklace at different lengths.

Because necklace lengths and adjustability may vary by design, we recommend reviewing each product’s description for specific measurements and details before placing your order.

Our gold stainless steel jewelry features 18K PVD gold plating, a durable coating designed to resist fading and maintain its beautiful shine with everyday wear.

Stainless steel is naturally resistant to tarnishing and corrosion. However, while the gold finish may gradually wear or fade over time depending on exposure and care, our 18K PVD gold plating offers enhanced durability and longer-lasting color retention compared to traditional gold plating. Unlike solid gold, which has no plating to wear away, gold-plated jewelry requires some care to preserve its finish.

With proper care, your jewelry is designed to maintain its beautiful finish for long-lasting wear. We recommend following our jewelry care guidelines to help preserve its shine and longevity.

We want you to receive your beautiful pieces as quickly as possible! Please note that the timeframes below are estimates and not guaranteed, especially during high-volume seasons.

All orders are shipped via USPS. Once your order is on its way, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number so you can follow its journey to you.

Because our beaded bracelets are custom-made to order, they are not eligible for exchange.  However, we do offer resizing services if an adjustment is needed. All bangles & necklaces are final sale and are not eligible for exchange.

All orders are prepared and shipped from Plano, Texas.

Please double check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for packages delivered to the wrong address, stolen, or lost in transit once they have been scanned by the carrier. If your package is marked as delivered but not received, we recommend reaching out to the carrier to file a claim. 

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact October Butterflies within 7 business days of delivery with photos, your order number, and a brief description of the issue. We'll take care of it by repairing or replacing your piece at no cost. 

Issues reported after 7 business days will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be eligible for repair or replacement. A fee may apply.
